Discover the visual world of the Deaf through a magazine programme that educates, motivates, inspires and empowers. Dtv is proudly for the Deaf, by the Deaf and is made accessible to a broader audience by means of subtitles and voice over.
We kick-start our programme with the ever-popular Burning Questions. Burning Questions was conceived due to the lack of information available to the Deaf community in South Africa and has grown since to cover issues relating to the general public.
In Burning Questions, we cover issues such as mainstream sport, how to buy a house, human rights and credit control. Questions from the Deaf community are answered by a proud panel of experts who clarifies issues to empower not only the Deaf community in South Africa, but the public in general.
Following Burning Questions, we connect with various Deaf role models and achievers. Those who beat the odds and show society what the Deaf can do. They tell us their stories to inspire and motivate not only the Deaf community, but also those who think they can’t overcome obstacles in their lives.
In Candice @, our Miss Deaf World 2004 meets celebrities, fashion divas and sport stars. She opens the doors for the Deaf community who sometimes misses out on all the celebrity news, freely accessible to the general public as she creates Deaf awareness at the same time
