Cobra rises to the top

 

The latest superhero-action movie, GI JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA (starring Channing Tatum), has debuted at the top of this past weekend’s (August 14-16) Ster-Kinekor box-office, while MY SISTER’S KEEPER (with Cameron Diaz) rocketed up to the number 2 spot. Here’s a look at the top ten movies at the Ster-Kinekor box-office this past weekend:

The screen adaptation of JM Coetzee’s Nobel Prize-winning novel, DISGRACE, opened at the top of the Cinema Nouveau chart this past weekend, bumping the rest of the titles currently on circuit down in the rankings. Other new release, MY SISTER’S KEEPER, also featured on the top half of the chart:
